The Monthly Projects Group encourages us to try new techniques or genres and have fun learning from each other.
A project is set for each month and a Zoom meeting is held to share and discuss the results. Members do not have to sign up to the group, they can just give the project a go and log into the meetings. If it is not possible for a member to contribute images, they are still welcome to join in and contribute to the discussion. The challenge for each project is to produce up to six images for discussion, preferably new images taken for the project. The images can be presented in any format such as individual images, slide show, or PowerPoint presentation. The discussion typically covers aspects specific to each project, such as approach, interpretation of the project, challenges, kit, settings, post processing, difficulties, and successes.
The projects are suggested by participating members. Recent projects included, Street, Turnback Time, Minimalism, Low Light, Still Life in Ice or Water, Close up and Macro, Symmetry, Look left and Right, Trees, and Abstract Architecture.
The Zoom meetings are usually on the third Tuesday of each month and are shown in the programme.
