Anthony J. Hall
by Mike Riley on February 24, 2012 in News with No Comments1938 – 2012
Anthony joined the Rushcliffe Photographic Society on 25 September 2001. He showed his interest in helping out and progressing the aims of the club from the beginning. He took on the challenge, and gained his Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society. He was soon nominated and elected on the Committee as Competition Secretary, and after a couple of years he took on the roll of Chairman, guiding the club with his friendly and pleasant manner until the end of the 2008/2009 season, when he retired for health reasons. He brought ideas and improvements in the running and development of the club, and he encouraged new members of any ability to gain in their appreciation and skills in Photography, which is a principle aim of the Society. He will be missed by all who knew him in the photography circle; within the club and associated clubs in the North and East Midland Federation.

Anthony was married to Angela and they celebrated their golden Wedding Anniversary in August 2011. They have two children Jeremy and Wendy and three grand-children. The oldest, Amelia is also interested in photography.
Anthony’s professional career was in Refridgeration and Air Conditioning; joining the family business from education. He moved on as a Sales Consultant based in Birmingham and retired in 2002. He was a member of Bingham and District Rotary Club and had acted as their publicity officer, also raising money for their charities.
He was on Bingham Town Council for a number of years and was Vice President of Bingham Conservative Association. He also acted as a local neighbourhood watch coordinator.
He will be fondly remembered by all his friends at Rushcliffe Photographic Society. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family.
