He will share some tips and techniques\, as well as anecdotes about the locations and experiences of shooting the scenes.  He will discuss some important themes in these genres of photography\, such as when to convert to mono and when to go with colour\, and also look at when images benefit from the presence of people. \nThe talk is structured as follows: \n\nIntroduction and gear used.\nUrban landscapes\, from locations including Manchester\, London\, Italy and Portugal. Images include traditional cityscapes\, night shots and light trails\, and street photography.\nCreative images – multiple exposures and ICM shots of the urban environment\, some including people.\nLive demo of how he creates one of his urban images.

This is not always achievable but over the years he has been fortunate to take what many consider to be some of the most original and unique images of the city. His presentation explores how he first got into photography and shares captivating stories behind his Liverpool images\, from capturing the Liver Birds emerging from the fog to moments like ‘The Batman.’ Geoff highlights how light and conditions are so influential in his work\, and how much he appreciates the chance to capture the diverse beauty of Liverpool.
