WELCOME EVENING at WEST BRIDGFORD LIBRARY – RPS ANNUAL EXHIBITION
|19th||HOW DID I EDIT THAT IMAGE ?
A technique evening: Several of the Society’s members will explain how they have edited images and will take us through their workflow processes, taking us from the image recorded by the camera to the finished product. This is an opportunity to see how others edit their pictures, and maybe to pick up a few hints and tips for your own photo editing.
|26th||SPEAKER: ANDREW PARKINSON -‘A photographer’s year’
Andy Parkinson is a professional wildlife photographer, now based on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District, who was inspired into becoming a photographer by his uncle, Rick Packwood. After a brief spell as a newspaper photographer, Andy upped sticks, left the city, and moved north to make a full time career as a wildlife photographer and we’re looking forward to seeing some of his work this evening.
|30th||SATURDAY WORKSHOP – BASIC EDITING & PRINT MOUNTING
Bring your laptop or PC and join us to learn some basic editing skills and tips from some of the more experienced members of the Society. You can also come along to learn how to make cut mounts for your printed photographs and to find out how to resize your digital images so that they meet with our competition entry requirements. Bring your own prints for mounting, and your own digital images for resizing. There will be a small charge for the workshop to cover the cost of materials and room hire, etc.
