Chris will tell us about how he uses his smartphone to make interesting images and will guide us through some of the apps and software that are available for post processing of smart phone images.

N&EMPF EXHIBITION – PDI SLIDESHOW

We’ll be taking a look at the best club photography from the North & East Midlands region in this annual slideshow from our photographic federation. Look closely and you might see some images from some of our members.

Please diarise this for a great photographic weekend away. At the time of going to print the location hadn’t been finalised, but the committee were looking at a trip up to the Northumbrian coast … Watch this space!

15th SPEAKER: COLIN TROW-POOLE FRPS FIPF MPAGB – ‘People & Places’

Colin describes himself as an avid monochrome worker, and he has had much success with printed and projected monochrome images. He loves the simplicity that the black and white image affords, and looks to create mood, drama and narrative power in his images.

The fourth round of our annual PDI competition. All image entries must be based on the theme ‘Creative Abstract’. Please read the rules (later in this handbook) to ensure that your PDI entries are in accordance with the competition rules.

SHOOT OUT
With Summer on the way and better light and weather (fingers crossed!) we’re planning on getting
outside with our cameras. We’ll be in small groups at locations chosen by each group’s participants.
